Veteran D-Man Riley Alexander Returns to Komoka

The Komoka Kings are pleased to announce the club’s first signing of the 2026-2027 season, veteran defenceman Riley Alexander.

 

Alexander is a 2006-born d-man, born in Ilderton. He enters his 4th and final season in the GOHL, all spent in Komoka. Last year, he was named captain of the club. In 2025-26, Alexander played in all 50 games for the first time in his career, posting a career-high five goals and 10 assists, for 15 points. He also tied a previous career high of two power play goals.

 

Over the years, Alexander has provided a steady presence on the blueline for the Kings. He has suited up in 139 games, notching 11 goals and 19 assists for 30 points from the back end, while also adding 146 PIM and 4 power play goals. He played his final year of minor hockey with the Huron-Perth Lakers organization at the U18 level.

 

The Kings look forward to the 2026-27 season getting underway in September, with training camp and preseason action set to begin in mid-August.
